New York, New York, March 23, 2010 – Leading global law firm Linklaters LLP has strengthened its US environment and climate change practice with the appointment of Jean-Philippe Brisson as senior counsel to lead that practice.
JP has extensive experience in advising clients on environmental risks and liabilities arising in M&A, banking, project finance, capital markets and real estate transactions.
He joins Linklaters from the Climate Action Reserve, where he was senior advisor and to whom he will continue to advise going forward. Prior to this he was a vice president at Goldman Sachs Global Commodities where he helped to establish the U.S. carbon desk. Previously, he was senior counsel in Allen & Overy’s corporate group focused on environmental transactions.
JP joins U.S. partners Stan Renas, Scott Sonnenblick, Stephen Culhane and Michael Bassett to round-out our U.S. Environment & Climate Change team. Our U.S. team is part of a market-leading global climate change practice that allows us to provide clients with a one stop shop for insight into legislation and policy direction in all the world’s major markets.
