Two Linklaters partners - Fiona Hobbs and Rebecca Jarvis - have won awards for their achievements as women leading the field in the legal sector across Europe, at the Euromoney Legal Media Group’s inaugural European Women in Business Law Awards 2011. Projects partner Fiona Hobbs was named Best in Energy and Resources and R&I partner Rebecca Jarvis was named Best in Insolvency and Restructuring.

In addition, Linklaters' commitment to promoting a female-friendly work environment has been recognised with the firm being named Best International Law Firm for Minority Women Lawyers.

The event, held at Claridge's Hotel, in London, on 29 June 2011, involved a keynote speech from Cherie Booth QC as well as addresses from Baroness Scotland QC, Constance Driscoll and Anne Fletcher (Royal Mail). Over 200 of Europe’s leading lawyers and politicians attended.

Nicole Kar, Co-Chair of Linklaters’ Gender Network, said:

"We are extremely proud to have won these awards, which pay tribute to some exceptionally talented lawyers and role models".
